New Chair and Vice-Chair elected at Lewes District Council

Councillor Charlotte Keenan was appointed as Chair of Lewes District Council for the coming year at Full Council on Tuesday (May 26).

Cllr Keenan said: "It is an honour to be elected as Chair of Lewes District Council. I am very proud to represent our district and look forward to working with councillors, officers and our communities over the coming year. Lewes district is home to so many dedicated individuals and organisations, and I am excited to support and celebrate their work. My thanks to the outgoing Chair, Councillor Paul Davies, for his excellent work and dedication."

Councillor Nikki Fabry was elected as Vice-Chair of the council. She said: "I am delighted to take on this role and to support the Chair in representing the council and our communities. I look forward to meeting residents across the district and highlighting the fantastic work taking place locally."

The Chair and Vice-Chair represent the council at a range of civic and community events throughout the year including local celebrations, charity events and official engagements, recognising the contribution of residents, volunteers and organisations across Lewes district.
