A new vinyl wrap on the hoarding is helping to enhance the appearance of the bandstand while improvements are taking place, creating a more welcoming space for residents and visitors.

Councillor Jenny Williams, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Place, said: "This is a fantastic way to brighten up the bandstand while important works are underway, and it's made a real difference to how the space feels. I am delighted we are celebrating the bandstand's rich history and creating a fresh and engaging look."

The design has been developed in collaboration with a local company to ensure it complements the character and setting of the bandstand. Alongside historic photographs provided by a local resident, the artwork incorporates patterns inspired by the original bandstand design.

The venue played host to a special live concert over the bank holiday weekend, attracting hundreds of music lovers.

Councillor Williams added: "A special thank you to Toploader, whose bank holiday performance helped create a brilliant atmosphere and made the weekend one to remember for all the right reasons."
