Mayor of Eastbourne re-elected for second year
Councillor Margaret Bannister has been re-elected as Mayor of Eastbourne for the coming year following last Wednesday's (May 20) Full Council meeting.

Councillor Teri Sayers-Cooper was elected as Deputy Mayor. She said: "I am delighted to be taking on the role of Deputy Mayor. I would like to thank Councillor Hugh Parker for his hard work and dedication in this post over the past year - it was a great pleasure for me to be the Deputy Mayor's consort during this time."
The Mayor has chosen Matthew 25 Mission and Sasbah as her Charities of the Year. Matthew 25 Mission provides vital support to people experiencing homelessness and hardship, while Sasbah supports disabled people to live independently and access services.
The Mayor and Deputy Mayor attend a wide range of events across the borough including community celebrations, charity fundraisers and civic ceremonies, recognising the work of residents, volunteers and organisations across Eastbourne.
