Special edition of District News and Public Meeting announced
A special digital edition of District News (DN), the council magazine, has been published today with exclusive content on the government's latest consultation on local government reorganisation.
The government consultation could lead to some Lewes district residents becoming residents of Brighton & Hove. This includes residents of East Saltdean, Telscombe, Peacehaven and Falmer.
Public meeting in Peacehaven on Friday 29 May from 6-7pm
An emergency public meeting about the proposals will take place at Community House, Meridian Centre, Peacehaven from 6pm-7pm on Friday 29 May 2026.
There will be a chance to hear more about the proposals and an opportunity to ask questions. There is no need to book, simply arrive by 6pm.
