Mayor supports busy winter season of community events
The Mayor of Eastbourne has shown her support for local charities, celebrated community achievements and represented the town at various cultural events during a busy winter period.

January's highlights included a visit to The Haven School, hosting the Mayor's Charity Quiz Night at the Town Hall, meeting volunteers and service users at Matthew 25 Mission, and representing the town at the Holocaust Memorial Day event at the Welcome Building.
February has featured a blend of community, cultural and charitable commitments. The Mayor attended the Eastbourne Education Business Partnership Young Engineer's Challenge, supported older residents and volunteers at the opening of the Age UK East Sussex Charity Shop in Langney Road and visited the Jenny Wren Nursery to meet young families and staff. She also enjoyed the Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra Young Soloist Competition Final at The Birley Centre, welcomed people to her Charity Cream Tea at The View Hotel and joined a Vigil for Ukraine at Banker's Corner.
She said: "It has been an honour to support so many wonderful organisations and community groups over these past months. The dedication, generosity and spirit shown by the people of Eastbourne continues to inspire me each day."
