Mayor to host tea party in support of charities

The event, including a delicious cream tea and live entertainment from Eastbourne musician Rick Bonner, will be held at The View Hotel on the seafront, starting at 3pm on Sunday, February 22.

All proceeds will be donated to the Mayor's chosen charities - Eastbourne Street Pastors, a voluntary group providing essential care and support on the streets, and Forward Facing which works tirelessly to help local families affected by serious illness or bereavement.

​The Mayor, Councillor Margaret Bannister, said: "I am very excited to host this special tea party which promises to be a delightful blend of tradition, community spirit and fantastic local entertainment - so please come and join us if you are free. I would like to thank The View Hotel for supporting our event."

"All money raised will go to Forward Facing and the Eastbourne Street Pastors and helps ensure they can continue their essential work for those in need."
