Pre-application Advice for Licensing Act 2003
A personal licence holder must be specified as the designated premises supervisor (DPS) in every premises licensed for the sale of alcohol. This will normally be the person who has day-to-day responsibility for running the premises.
You need to apply for a variation of a premises licence to specify an individual as a DPS to replace the current personal licence holder as the DPS of your premises.
Restrictions
You must be 18 or over to apply for a variation of a premises licence to specify an individual as a DPS.
Displaying your licence
Part A of the updated licence should be kept safely at the premises. Police or council officers can ask to inspect them at any time.
You must display the updated Part B, the licence summary, at your premises where it can be easily seen.
