The new shop, currently undergoing a fit-out, will soon open its doors as D.M.Z, an army surplus store, offering a variety of clothing and merchandise to shoppers.

Located at the top end of Terminus Road, Eastbourne Borough Council has transformed Victoria Place into an exciting new mix of retail opportunities and food and drink businesses.  The completion of a package of refurbishment works to the council owned parade has created numerous job opportunities.

Councillor Margaret Bannister, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Deputy Leader of the Council, said:

"We are thrilled to see the final unit in Victoria Place occupied. It marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to support businesses at the top end of Terminus Road, each one contributing to the area's economic growth and vibrancy."

Victoria Place now offers an inviting route between the seafront and the town centre, enhancing the overall appeal of Eastbourne as a destination for both residents and tourists. The revitalised area attracts significantly increased footfall, benefiting all the businesses within the vicinity.

Councillor Bannister added:

"By fostering a supportive environment for businesses and investing in the town's infrastructure, we are driving growth and ensuring a prosperous future for a key area within the town's retail and hospitality sector."
