Report a private housing problem
If you are a private tenant in Eastbourne Borough or Lewes District, you can use the online form below to report a private housing problem. Private housing problems include but are not limited to:
- Damp and mould growth
- Excess cold or heat
- Water supply
- Electrical hazards
- Fire hazards
- General disrepair
You should report private housing problems to your landlord or managing agent and allow them time to arrange for the repairs to be carried out. If they do not make arrangements within a reasonable time and you wish to make a report to us, we will contact your landlord or managing agent on your behalf.

If you are a housing association tenant, you should report your problem to your housing association and follow its complaints procedure. Read our guidance on complaining to Housing Associations.
Please note that this form is not for Homes First tenants or homeowners. If you are a homeowner, you may be able to apply for a grant or loan.
