Assisted collection
Assisted waste and recycling collections are available for residents who have difficulty placing their containers at the boundary of their property.
Use our online form to request, change or end an assisted collection in Eastbourne or the Lewes district:
Eligibility is based on a case-by-case basis but may be available because:
- you are elderly or disabled
- you have had a recent operation
Checks may be carried out to ensure that we only provide this service to residents who need it.
The service is only provided if no-one in your household is able to place or retrieve wheelie bins or boxes from your property boundary. We will arrange to collect and return the containers from an agreed and convenient location. New requests for the assisted collection service may take up to 10 working days to action.
