Apply for a street trading licence

Use our online form below to apply and pay for a street trading licence.

Before you start

You should read the application guidance before making this application. Depending on the licence you are applying for, you may need to upload some or all of the following documents. Please have these ready.

• Where the proposed activity will take place at a fixed position, please clearly identify the proposed location on a map of at least 1:200 scale by marking the site boundary with a red line
• A copy of the certificate of insurance covering third party and public liability risks to the level of £5 million
• Two colour photographs of the trading unit illustrating different elevations of the unit
• Two colour passport photographs of the applicant for new applications (not required for renewal applications)

Note: in the Lewes district only, no documents are required to be uploaded for a special event or market
