Food hygiene regulations require you to have a written food safety management system. You must be able to show what you do to make or sell food that is safe to eat and have this written down.

To help small businesses manage food safety easily, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has developed Safer Food, Better Business (SFBB) packs.
You can download full packs or replacement pages in PDF format online, or view the packs section-by-section. You will find packs for caterers, retailers, childminders and a supplement for residential care homes. There are also information packs for Indian and Chinese cuisine.
Your food hygiene inspection
