Councils and the South Downs National Park Authority launch joint call for sites to meet Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople accommodation needs
Eastbourne Borough Council, Lewes District Council, Hastings Borough Council, Rother District Council, Wealden District Council and the South Downs National Park Authority, are launching a coordinated call for sites to help identify suitable locations for permanent Gypsy and Traveller pitches and Travelling Showpeople plots across their administrative areas.
Council takes action to limit HMO conversions
New planning controls have been introduced to curb the creation of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) in parts of the town centre where their numbers are already high. For the first time, these properties will now require planning permission before they become HMOs.
