Wheelie bins

Latest updates on rollout of wheelie bins for refuse in Lewes district

Petitions and e-petitions

Petitions are an easy way for you to let us know your concerns. You can create and submit a petition electronically, on paper, or both. All petitions submitted to either Eastbourne Borough Council or Lewes District Council must have at least 10 signatures to be considered.

If you wish to submit a petition you need to meet the requirements as set out in the Petition Scheme for the relevant council, which you can view via the relevant online portal below.

Lewes District Council

Anyone living, working or studying in Lewes District who wishes to raise an issue or have their views heard on a council matter can create a petition. Anyone can create and submit a petition via the online portal which we share with other councils across East Sussex.

All petitions sent or presented to us, either online or on paper, will receive an acknowledgement within ten working days. This acknowledgement will set out what we plan to do with the petition.

Eastbourne Borough Council

Whilst we like to hear from people who live, work or study in Eastbourne, this is not a requirement. We would take seriously at petition, for example, from visitors to the town on the subject of visitor attractions. Anyone can create and submit a petition via the online portal which we share with other councils across East Sussex.

All petitions sent or presented to us, either online or on paper, will receive an acknowledgement within ten working days. This acknowledgement will set out what we plan to do with the petition.
