About access to information

Access to Information legislation requires the councils to make as much information as possible available through their Publication Schemes and respond to any requests for information within statutory timescales.

Access to Information includes the following Acts:    

• The Freedom of Information Act 2000

• Environmental Information Regulations 2004

These Acts give you the right to access information held by Lewes District Council and Eastbourne Borough Council, subject to specific exemptions or exceptions.
