Upcoming Tender Opportunity: Grounds Maintenance Services Contract
We will be launching a tender process for the Lewes District and Eastbourne Borough Council Grounds Maintenance Contract in May 2025.

The district sit within the South Downs National Park, The Living Coast UNESCO biosphere and there are plans for the Eastbourne Downland and Seaford to be included in the Seven Sisters National Nature Reserve.
Our current Grounds Maintenance Services Contract expires on 31st March 2026. We will therefore be tendering for these contracts, with the aim of publishing the opportunity in May 2025.
The opportunity
This is an exciting and rare opportunity for experienced contractors to work with both councils in delivering high-quality grounds maintenance services, helping to enhance and maintain our outdoor spaces to excellent standards on a long-term basis.
The Procurement Process will follow the new Competitive Flexible Procedure which has been introduced in the Procurement Act 2023, which came into place on 24 February 2025.
The Competitive Flexible Procedure allows councils to include various stages within the Procurement Process, including but not limited to negotiation, product demonstrations and supplier presentations.
