Property Krowd letter to residents
Important update for Lewes district and Eastbourne Homes First customers who may have received a letter from a company called Property Krowd.
We have been made aware that a company called Property Krowd has sent letters to some individuals, asking them to scan a QR code and confirm they are living at their address. The letters claim this is to join a community and access information about repairs and energy-saving initiatives.
These letters mention Lewes District Council or Eastbourne Borough Council, but we want to make it absolutely clear: Lewes District Council and Eastbourne Borough Council have no connection to Property Krowd.
We have not authorised this company to contact you or collect any information on our behalf. Furthermore, we have not shared any details about your home's energy efficiency or any other property-related information. It is worth noting that energy performance data is publicly available via government websites, which allows anyone to view energy certificates.
At present, we cannot confirm whether Property Krowd is a legitimate organisation. We urge you to remain cautious, carefully review any correspondence, and avoid sharing personal information unless you are sure it is safe to do so. Protecting your personal data is of the utmost importance for us and we take these letters very seriously.
